PZ Opassuksatit is a Thai-born artist and designer based in Paris.
Opassuksatit is also the founder of PZtoday, an experimental laboratory specialised in image design, art direction, visual merchandising, object design and concept selling.
Opassuksatit oscillates between several media: print (digital and analogue), garments and accessories, photography and film, objects and sculptures, as well as installation.
Her practice observes the routine behaviours and mundane daily actions of people, often in relation to consumption, food, hygiene, love and sex.
Through various media, Opassuksatit reflects these observations back onto themselves, highlighting/exaggerating the absurdity and humour of the everyday with an honest and sincere voice.
She considers herself a comedian.

“I miss Japan,” said PZ Opassuksatit, when asked about the inspiration behind “Throwback Thursday”.
Growing up in Bangkok, Opassuksatit was strongly influenced by Japanese pop-culture, J-POP music, manga and PlayStation. “Throwback Thursday” was a collective of memory, simulation of the old-modern-day and homage to the simplicity and beauty of the mundane daily action.

これらの観察を反映させることで日常の不条理やユーモアを、強調もしくは誇張しながら、正直さと誠実さをもって伝えています。自称コメディアン。

この作品のインスピレーションを尋ねられたOpassuksatitは「日本が恋しいです」と言いました。
Opassuksatitはバンコクで育ち、日本のポップカルチャー、J-POP、漫画、プレイステーションから強い影響を受けてきました。
”Throwback Thursday” は記憶の集合体であり、かつてのモダンのシミュレーションであり、シンプルさと日常のありふれた行為の持つ美しさへのオマージュでもあります。
