- Tell us about yourself.

I’m Mimiko, born in LA, but raised in London. Through school, I studied acting, music and film, all of which I’m still trying to pursue some sort of relationship with.

- Tell us about your music project.

I usually play guitar mostly, but try to play whatever I can really get my hands on. I try to sing.
I’ve been around music since I was born so I feel it’s very part of me. Right now, I’m just trying to jam with more people and really work on myself as a writer, but hopefully something will come out of me soon!

—Could you tell us about yourself?

I’m Mimiko. I was born in LA but raised in London. I studied acting, music, and film at school, and I’m still trying to maintain some sort of connection to all of them.

—Could you also tell us about your music project?

I mostly play guitar, but I try to challenge myself to play whatever I can get my hands on. I’m also trying to sing. Music has been around me since I was born, so it feels like a part of me.
Right now, I’m planning to jam with more people. I’m also working hard as a writer. I hope I can produce something soon!

- How do you navigate the ambiguity we face today?

I think I’ve learned it’s important to make the most of what you can. More so in a way with what’s going on with yourself, what do I want to be doing more of, what makes me feel good. It’s quite easy to give in to all the negatives and feel stunted, but I just think you gotta try and see the best in situations. And of course this situation is shit, but we can’t sit and cry about it. I mean we can and I have, but it’s not progressive.

-New Years resolution for 2022?

I don’t make resolutions for the new year.

—How do you navigate the ambiguity of the current times?

I think I’ve learned that it’s important to make the most of what you can. Regarding things like what’s happening with yourself, what you want to be doing more of, and what makes you feel good. It’s easy to get swept up in negativity, but I think you have to try and find the positives in any situation. Of course, the current situation isn't great, but you can’t just sit around and cry about it, right? I mean, you can—and I have—but that doesn’t help you move forward.

—What is your goal for 2022?

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions.

-Tell us about yourself.

My name is Mýa, I’m 22, a Capricorn and I live and work in London as a model.

-What do you like about London?

I think one of my favourite things about London is the traffic on foot! It sounds funny, but I like to walk fast, and really love how people walk on the right side. I’m originally from a smaller city where people walk all over the place and get congested, so I feel like I fit in here.

-What inspires you the most?

I’m inspired by a rawness and an edge that comes from being true to yourself without compromise. Recently I’ve been very inspired by artists that use their body as their medium, whether it’s through how they adorn it or use it to dance or move.

—What is your biggest source of inspiration?

I’m inspired by the rawness and edge that comes from being true to yourself without compromise. Recently, I’ve been inspired by artists who use their own bodies to express themselves, whether through how they adorn themselves or how they use their bodies to dance or move.

-How do you navigate the ambiguity we face today?

Check-ins with friends, lots of movies on the sofa under blankets and Italian breakfast biscuits.

-New Years resolution for 2022?

I’ve been really bad with eating out all the time… My New Year's resolution is to get back into the kitchen and start enjoying cooking again, and to test out some new recipes from cookbooks I have at home.

—What is your goal for 2022?

I’ve been terrible about eating out all the time lately, so my New Year’s goal is to get back into the kitchen and enjoy cooking again. I want to try out some new recipes from the cookbooks I have at home.
